Humber College
Post-Production Program

As of June 2024, I will have officially completed a 1-year post-graduate program at Humber College in Post-Production learning the duties of numerous positions such as Editor, Sound Designer, Colourist, Producer, Post Supervisor and more. During this time I learned how to be proficient in programs such as Avid Media Composer, Pro Tools, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Suite and others.

Picture Editing with AVID

During the course of this program, I took a short film from beginning to end, learning the duties of an Assistant Editor and Editor beginning with organizing our project into bins, transcoding media, syncing audio with picture, completing script sync to completing a rough cut, fine cut and locked picture.

Sound Design with Pro Tools

During my time at Humber, I learned the job of a sound designer including the ins and outs of Pro Tools. I edited dialogue, ambiance, sound effects and music and mixed them both in stereo and 3

Producing & Directing with a Team

We also learned all aspects of production during this program from pre-production all the way to post. During a production class, I collaborated with some of my fellow students to plan, shoot, edit and finish a short film.

During this we learned how to interpret scripts, storyboard, plan a shoot, work with actors and capture the right sound and images.

Colour Grading with DaVinci Resolve

As an important part of post-production, I learned how to properly colour grade material as well as do a full round-trip from Resolve to both Premiere and Avid including transcoding media and attaching back to the camera originals when mastering.
