The year was 2013. I had just finished a Film Studies program at Fanshawe College and had started my own film criticism website called Movie Knight. I worked up as a relative unknown, but achieved press accreditation with major studios such as Disney, Sony, 20th Century Fox and more.

I then received a call from Bonnie Laufer of Tribute Magazine and Tribute.ca asking if I would like to come on as an interviewer during the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival.
